It is intended for painting blood smears or other biological preparations on slides - slides by the group method (slides are placed in holders) according to a given technological program in diagnostic and research laboratories. Cassettes with fixed slides successively go through 5 working stages: 1) Pre-drying of freshly prepared preparations; 2) Fixation with pre-painting; 3) Basic coloring; 4) Flushing; 5) Drying. The cassettes are moved to the next position by the forward-return movement of the trays. The time of each stage is the same. It can be set when ordering the device. Factory setting – 5 minutes. The total duration of all stages is 20 minutes. The coloring process is carried out along a linear trajectory. Slides with a smear should be placed in special cassettes and fixed by turning the eccentric lever. Fill the baths with reagents and install them in the device at the specified places. Place the slide cassette on the pre-drying starting position. If the preparations are dry, the cassette with slides should be immediately placed in a bath with a retainer. The time of each stage is 5 minutes. The whole procedure of painting and drying takes no more than 20 minutes. With sequential installation, the device can process up to 12 cassettes, i.e. up to 120 slides per hour.

Most often, targeted research is carried out in the following areas of laboratory screening: ecology, food safety, clinical monitoring, narcology, doping control, production control of various raw materials. In targeted studies, it is often required not only to confirm the presence of a compound in a sample, but also to determine the level of its content quantitatively, since both the list of target compounds and the permissible level of their presence in the sample are specified by regulatory documents. Quantitative analysis requires standards for the substances you are looking for. When conducting a non-target search, as a rule, it is required to analyze a sample of unknown composition, in other words, to find as many compounds as possible in the sample and identify (identify) each of them. Since the identification of a detected compound is carried out by comparing its experimental mass spectrum with the spectrum of a pure substance obtained under standard conditions, this task requires reference libraries of mass spectra of pure substances, as well as tools for working with mass spectra, for example: algorithms for cleaning experimental mass spectra from background and spectral noise (mass spectrum deconvolution algorithms), library search and comparison algorithms.
