The principle of operation of the mills is based on the grinding of the product, rotating at high speed with a knife in combination with a cyclic rotation of the grinding unit. In order to achieve uniform grinding and homogenization of the sample, the grinding unit must be tilted during grinding. The angle of inclination is set automatically according to the selected mode.

1. Programmable grinding modes
The laboratory mill has two grinding modes:
"Sunflower" - used for grinding oilseeds.
"Grain. Feed" is used for grinding grain, leguminous crops, feed and raw materials for their production.
Depending on the crushed product, the operator selects the desired mode of the grinding process. The installation of the grinding mode options is carried out using a specially developed program via a PC. It is possible to install an additional grinding mode using a PC.

4. Sample preparation without heating.
The special design of the grinding chamber (grinding is carried out in the upper bowl made of aluminum) and the use of special knives ensure rapid grinding and minimize heating of the sample, which eliminates moisture loss. According to the test results of FSUE "UNIIM", mills are recommended for sample preparation during the analysis to determine humidity.
They are part of the installation of the measuring air-thermal ASESH-8 (RU. p.31.005.A No. 56847).
5. COOLING SYSTEM without forced water cooling.
For continuous comfortable operation with the cooling system, the mill is equipped with two grinding cups.
6. Grinding of various types of samples.
The presence of knives of various geometries and the possibility of their quick replacement when changing the crushed product, allows the mill to be used for grinding a wide range of agricultural products – from wheat grains to soybeans and sunflower seeds, according to specially developed algorithms.
Knives are included in the delivery package of the mill:
knife No. 2 – for grinding oilseeds and cereals;
knife No. 4 – for grinding feed and raw materials for their production;
knife No. 1 – designed for chopping soybeans.
