Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor is a hematopoietic growth factor and an immune response modulator. Human GM-CSF is a 127 amino acid monomeric protein with two glycosylation sites. The variability in glycosylation results in differences in molecular weight ranging from 14 kDa to 35 kDa. Non-glycosylated and glycosylated GM-CSF show similar activity in vitro.

The family of interferons (IFNs) are glycoprotein proteins that have a wide range of biological activity, including antiviral, antitumor, and also exhibit antiproliferative and proapoptotic properties. There are three known types of interferons: type I IFN / type I IFN (α, β, ω, τ, κ, ˜, and δ), type II IFN / type II IFN (γ), and type III IFN / type III IFN (λ1 (IL-29), λ2 (IL-28A), λ3 (IL-28B)). The classification of interferons by type is based on their interaction with the corresponding cellular receptors.
