Exposure device UER-03 (TU 26.51.70-003-63790925-2021 )
The principle of operation of the device UER-03:
The principle of operation of the device is based on the creation of equal conditions for all exposed samples during biotesting. It is achieved by rotating the cassette with the test culture samples of crustaceans installed in it around the central axis. Since the sample cassette is oriented obliquely, when it rotates, there is an active gas exchange between the surrounding air and water samples. As the result, test organisms in test tubes are provided with sufficient oxygen concentration in the medium during the entire exposure period. The rotation speed of the cassette is chosen so as not to have a stress effect on the crustaceans.
The device operates in continuous mode and does not require additional intervention in the process of exposing the crustacean culture. The required conditions for temperature and light irradiation can be provided only when the device is installed in the climatostat.
Used in techniques:
- Methodology for determining the toxicity of water extracts from soils, sewage sludge and waste, drinking, sewage and natural water by the mortality of the test object (Daphnia magna Straus). MON F 14.1:2:4.12-06 / 16.1:2.3.3.9-06 FR.1.31.2009.06641.
- Methodology for determining the toxicity index of nanopowders, products made of nanomaterials, nanopoints, waste and sewage sludge containing nanoparticles, according to the mortality of the test organism Daphnia magna Straus. FR.1.39.2010.09102
And it can also be used in other suitable techniques.
