The investment tax deduction can be extended to the production of scientific instruments

Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government to consider applying an investment tax deduction for expenses related to the production of scientific instruments by June 30. The corresponding instruction was given following a meeting with young scientists and published on site Kremlin.

"The Government of the Russian Federation is to consider jointly with senior officials of the subjects of the Russian Federation the issue of granting taxpayers the right to apply an investment tax deduction for expenses related to the production of scientific instruments and consumables for them, including reagents, and, if necessary, submit proposals on making appropriate amendments to the legislation of the Russian Federation on taxes and fees," the text of the instruction says.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and senior officials of the subjects of the Russian Federation have been appointed responsible.
